As most know Exchange Server 2010 is the latest version of Microsoft's email server. I wanted to write a short description of the software and outline its features. Like its predecessor Exchange 2010 requires that you run it on an x64 platform.
· Pre-Installation Checklist
o Install Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit version
o Configure your static IP address
o Activate Auto Updates
o Add role - Active Directory Services
o Add role - Active Directory Lightweight Services
o Add feature - Windows Process Activation Service
o Add role - Web Server (IIS)
o Add feature - PowerShell
o Enable TCP Port Sharing
o Apply the 2007 Office System Converter
o Roles / Features NOT to install
· Installing Exchange Server 2010
· Allow IGetMail access to your Exchange Server
· Adding EMail Users
